The concept behind TSI kits is to provide the modeler with a large, highly detailed industrial structure that can be used in a relatively small space. Most TSI kits are less than 3" deep and are perfect for dioramas, shelf layouts and those narrow areas on your layout where you would still like to put an industry. All TSI kits are three sided highly detailed foreground models that look great against a backdrop or in front of other buildings.

Not at all. Many kits will be full size industrial structures. In fact, 2 - 3 full size kits are currently on the drawing board. Most likely, both types of kits will be issued in a random fashion. As time permits, 4 -6 kits are planned per year.

Resin is no more difficult to work with than plaster or wood. It is rigid, strong, odorless, takes detail beautifully and sands like basswood. Resin parts are easily glued with cyanoacrylate (CA, SuperGlue) or 5 minute epoxy, and they paint up just like plaster. Although more expensive than plaster, resin parts don't break. Every PVSM kit includes tips and techniques on working with resin. Try it, you'll love it!

Not at all. PVSM kits are designed to be assembled by the average modeler who has already built a couple of simple structure kits. Generally, kits include resin walls that need to be glued together, some simple stick building of sub-assemblies and the placement of windows, doors and detail parts on the structure. Of course, the model also needs to be painted, weathered and have the included signs applied. PVSM offers the modeler a kit where the basic structure assembles quickly while most of the building time can be spent on details and painting. Complete detailed instructions and color photos are included in every kit.

Every modeler has a different skill level and speed at which they build, so the answer to this question varies from person to person. Using myself as an example, I'm an experienced modeler who builds slowly and I can build a PVSM kit, including painting and weathering, in approximately 15 hours. Take your time and you'll end up with a show quality structure. Remember, the assembly and painting is more than half the fun.

Don't worry! Call or email us and we'll quickly send you a new part. Even if you mess up a part, contact us and we'll take care of the problem. Also, we're happy to answer any questions regarding our kits or their assembly. Kit building is supposed to be fun, not nerve wracking.

Most importantly, it must be an industry that could be serviced or affiliated with a railroad. Research and gathering of prototype information then follows. This includes photos, drawings, dimensions and operations. Utilizing selective compression, designs are formulated based on this information. In the end, a plausible, interesting composite structure reflecting that particular industry becomes a PVSM kit.

We will build, paint and weather any PVSM structure kit, time permitting. Please give us a call to discuss your needs.

Peace Valley is a beautiful part of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It includes Lake Galena and miles of walking paths. While walking with my wife one summer evening the concept of PVSM was formulated. Based on that walk, it seemed like an appropriate name.
